For Halloween at Maddie's school they have to dress up like something they are learning about in their history class. This year they are learning about the War of 1812. I have been so impressed with the knowledge she comes home and tells us about the war - things I don't ever remember learning about. After looking through our list of historical figures during that time, it was pretty clear that the only thing Maddie would be was an Indian Princess. I am sure she would have much rather been the "Batarina Ballerina" for school, but I think she makes a pretty pale indian, and after we bought her cool boots she was excited about the costume.
