Maddie & Gracie wanted to go to the parade - which means getting up early on my day off. We had a hard time waking Gracie up, she refused to open her eyes. Finally 5 minutes before we left she woke up and wanted to go to the parade. Then we picked up Mike and Jared and headed over to the carnival. I think the only reason I make it a priority to go to these things is because I have such found memories of the 24th of July from my childhood. We had a firework party at our house - we had lots of people over for dinner and guitar hero! The next day we headed up to the cabin with all the kids and spent the night. Gracie loves spotting deer. Maddie & Sammy went on nature walks and picked up collected pine cones to paint.
