Matt Hill - passed away on January 24, 2009 from Testicular Cancer. He had just been diagnosed three weeks earlier. Growing up I had only two cousins that were close in age to me, Matt Hill and Davey Oberhansley. Matt & I always had fun together. He lived in Arizona and I in Utah, but it was always exciting when Matt came to town. One Thanksgiving after my grandpa had passed away my family drove my grandma to Arizona so she could spend the winter with my Aunt Ann. Wow did we think that Matt was the luckiest kid alive because he had his very own cement swimming pool in his backyard. About 9 years ago Matt moved to Utah to work for a company called Ibonzi. I was very tired of working where I had been working and decided I needed a change so my cousin became my boss. It always amazed me at how much Matt knew about everything- he was brilliant! Matt was one of the few who was tormented from my stories of this new guy I was dating "Mike Johnson" Matt listened patiently as I talked and talked and talked and canceled movie trips with him so that I could go out with "Mike Johnson".
